Friends of the Toddler Philharmonic – musicians of the Creative Education Foundation and the DIXI COMPANY ensemble welcome children and their parents to a musical feast inspired by New Orleans jazz of the 1920’s and 1930’s ragtime, swing and blues. These tried and true rhythms and melodies ingrain themselves deeply into the eager minds of young listeners. The concerts rely on an innovative proposal for practical solutions for music education – the theory of learning music developed by American professor Edwin E. Gordon – jazz musician, teacher and music pscyhologist.
