Made up of pianists Adélaïde Panaget and Naïri Badal, the Jatekok Duo is gaining a reputation as one of the most promising contemporary duos. Adélaïde Panaget and Naïri Badal first met at the age of ten when taking music lessons. The ties of friendship and artistic sensitivity they share led them in 2007 to create their four hands piano and two piano duos. After obtaining their Piano Master’s Degree at the Paris Academy of Music in the under the lecturers B. Engerer and N. Angelich, they obtain successfully the Chamber music Master’s Degree with Claire Désert, Amy Flammer and with Quatuor Artémis. They worked under the tutelage of such artists as Dimitri Bashkirov, Frank Braley, Christophe Eschenbach, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Geneviève Joy-Dutilleux, Cyril Huvé, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Yovan Markovitch, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Christian Ivaldi and Trio Wanderer. After winning 1st prize in the four hands and two pianos category and awards for a work of contemporary music at the Music Forum in Normandy in 2012 and the Mailliard Fnapec award in 2013, Duo Jatekok was invited to work together with the prestigious Chapelle musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium.
The musicians’ energy and enthusiasm has led to many invitations to perform in concert halls and at festivals all over the world. They have played at La Folle Journée fesrivals, as well as in À la Française, Debussy in Argenton, Jeunes talents, 59 rue de Rivoli, Electrons Libres organised by the Paris Conservatory, and at Musikenvignes. Adélaïde Panaget and Naïri Badal have performed in Parisian museums: Les Invalides, Musée de la Marine, and in the Cité de la Musique. They have travelled to Italy, Brussels and Prague. Ever eager to discover new works, Duo Jatekok alternate between the classical repertory and the creation of contemporary works, happily participating in unusual projects which attract actors, musicians, dancers and composers.
